The new BALITHERM® PRIMEFORM service is a plasma supported treatment system, where a diffusion layer with a surface hardness gradient is produced. With the PRIMEFORM treatment, wear and corrosion protective properties of the base material are improved. After PRIMEFORM processing, the surface characteristic allows an improved polish compared to an untreated condition. Additionally, it prevents build-up, flaking, and embrittlement at edges.
